Helpful Tips

Writer’s Block

Many times children verbally make up wonderful stories as they play. Take that imagination & have them talk into a tape recorder first and then transfer their thoughts onto paper.

Take family photos or cut out pictures from magazines or collect photos off the internet and have your student make up a story from the photo order you have created.

If your student likes to draw, have them draw out concepts of a story and then transfer those thoughts into written form.

Share with us how you helped your student with writer’s block.
