Our thoughts……. Time to say Goodbye

It has been a pleasure to serve all of you since 2001. We first shared we were trying to sell the business and then it became necessary to liquidate which we have been in the process since June 2014. I had hoped that I would be able to serve till our house was under contract.

Unfortunately, I can not wait that long.

The Lord has been gracious to use our chiropractor to mend me back together many times throughout the years; but this past year the excessive strain on my shoulders, especially my left, have caught up with me to the point that I am being limited on the amount I carry and time spent data entering. This week has made it clear that I can not keep going Continue reading

Our Thoughts ……. 2015…… Steadfast

Every new calendar year brings a host of changes, as well as, for many, resolutions.

I have been hearing that many are choosing not to make resolutions for different reasons. One new way of looking at the whole resolution process was shared with me recently that made more sense!

Choose a word to guide your year’s choices, thinking, habits, relationships, etc. Wow, what a great idea! Continue reading

Our Thoughts….. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Another year come and gone and it is time again to wish Christmas greetings!  2015 is just around the corner!

I don’t know about you; but 2014 saw many changes: big and small, easy and difficult, welcomed and some not.  One of the biggest, putting our house on the market in May and the going out of business/liquidation process that began in June.

I mentioned when the process of going out of business started that I would say my goodbyes at the end when all was done.  I expected to be able to do that by December 31st.  Well, true to form, the Lord had other plans.  It is December 23 and we are still trying to liquidate more inventory.  So, goodbyes were not meant for 2014. Our Thoughts……The Gift of the Curriculum Exchange

We have posted on our Facebook page not to forget the Curriculum Exchange when shopping for Christmas gifts and/or stocking stuffers since we still have many items that would make great gifts; many in good to excellent condition.

Today, a new customer that found us as a result of my posting items on several Homeschooling Facebook pages, came to our store to purchase bundles and browse through the rest of our remaining stock.  As she shopped, she voiced a great idea that I want to pass on.

She bought some books for her children’s teacher’s classroom! Plus, she is thinking of gifting the teachers an amount to spend at the Curriculum Exchange to help build their personal classroom library.

What a great idea!!!

So, if you want to gift your child’s school teacher, Sunday School teacher, or any other person who loves books, why not gift them a Curriculum Exchange gift of books.  Everything is 65% off our listed prices.  Some sections of books have been reduced to $1 or $2 each.  And then we have bundles!!!!

For a list of items still available or bundles, visit our…website, Facebook page, or blog.

As we shop, may we remember that Christmas is a time to celebrate the greatest gift: Jesus and the hope of salvation that came that blessed night so long ago.

We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm, ideas and support!

Our Thoughts…… Thanksgiving 2014

In the middle of many challenges, change, memories that are big or small, welcomed or not, refreshing or draining, there is still room to be thankful.

The old hymn; “Count Your Many Blessings” reminds us how we can have a thankful heart in the midst of life.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
*Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
[*And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.]
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
 Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings—money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

May the words of this hymn allow you to begin to count your blessings no matter how minor they may seem and may the comfort and peace that comes guide you through this Thanksgiving season.

With a thankful heart, we continue to be blessed by you.
Elissa
